Malace|HR is looking for Warehouse Custodians, to help maintain Warehouse Facilities in Metro Detroit and carry out cleaning, maintenance, and security duties. The custodian will ensure the buildings are tidy, clean, and well-maintained. The custodian will sweep, mop and vacuum floors, and dust surfaces. You will clean walls, ceilings, windows, and other surfaces. You will prevent and eliminate indoor pests.

Custodian Responsibilities:

• Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Waxing furniture and cleaning fixtures.
• Disposing of trash and emptying trash receptacles.
• Performing minor repairs.
• Maintaining cleaning equipment.
• Maintaining inventory of cleaning agents and equipment.
• Ensuring equipment and lights are switched off, and premises are locked after hours.
• Collaborating with contract cleaning services.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy objects to 50 pounds.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to accurately count and sort items.
• Good communication skills to work effectively with team members.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Basic math skills to calculate weights and quantities.
• Reliability and punctuality
